Cricket : the “Adventure Gold”

Recent studies push for a food transition. The meet industry pollutes more than all means of transports combined due to their exceptional greed for water, food, space and the large amount of polluting gazes released in the atmosphere and soil. What will it be in 2050 when we will be 10 billion human inhabitants ? Good news ! A delicious alternative is showing off : insects. Eaten with pleasure by 80% of the population since thousands of years, rather vintage for a new solution ?

  • Health

Insects carry immense health benefits. Believe it or not, they are much higher in protein and iron than both beef and chicken. In addition, they are an excellent source of Omega 3, Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin B (including B12) and fibres. Time to unleash your insectsy!

  • Environment (1) : Water & Food consumption

Crickets are not water nor food greedy – To produce 1kg of edible crickets, they need 1L of water and 1kg of food. Compared to beef, it’s 15 000L of water and 10kg of food that are needed to produce 1kg!

Why? Crickets grow so fast that after 45 days – they are already adults ! And also because they have a better conversion rate, which means they use are greater share of what they consume for their development.

  • Environment (2) : SPACE

    They are stored UPRIGHT
Imagine a tower of crickets fluttering from floors to floors, ideal for saving on space!
Fun fact! … One large greenhouse could feed the whole of Paris!

  • Environment (3) : POLLUTION

Crickets are exceptionally clean, releasing over 80% less CO2 in the atmosphere than beef and almost no other green house gases.

The quality of our ingredients take absolute priority, we therefore pay special attention to the quality of our crickets ensuring are kept at the highest standard 🙂 As sustainability is incredibly important to us, our flagship ingredient has to be locally sourced. That’s why our crickets are raised and processed in a farm in the Netherlands and fed with 100% non GMO ingredients.
